The Gospel According to Lost seeks to look into the journey that each character from the TV show Lost is on, and connect that to the journey toward God. As the reader we are to “emerge from these pages stronger” as we learn from each of the characters. We get to see the deeper biblical, philosophical, emotional, and psychological meanings hidden in the life of each of the characters.
The book was quite interesting to me as an avid follower of the show. It helped me think deeper about the show’s plotline and character development, which I really enjoyed.
One criticism I have is that there was not a lot of biblical content. This meant that we got a lot of the author’s opinions on how things related to God without much authoritative word from the Bible.
I would only recommend this book to someone who has watched seasons 1-5 of the show, and wants an easy, interesting read. If that is not you, I would take a pass on this one.

Hi Jamie
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you! I trust you are having an enjoyable day. My name is Todd Stepp and I work for BooksChristian.com, here in Franklin, TN. We are a Christian owned & operated company that sells over 200,000 Christian products.
I have visited jamieunitedbookreviews.blogspot.com and have noticed that you post book reviews on your blog. I wanted to see if you would be interested in partnering with us, enabling visitors to your blog to purchase books that you review, as well as other books that you may suggest to them (books of the day etc.). In return we would pay you 9% on every sale made. There is very little work that would need to be done on your end, as we provide all the tools to create links and codes that you can post on your blog.
I would love to discuss this further with you at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Todd Stepp
